what makes a good blog

These are the blogs I have analysed and reviewed Sam Clarks blog, Daniel, Joe Reade also Kim Bates& Tom Allen. The first blog I have analysed was Sam Clarks, I thought he had clearly constructed his objectives by assigning all his cast members roles and what day they should be shooting the footage and also when they are going to edit it as well. He clearly shows there aims and objectives on their construction page they show various different illustrative ways in their videos and they show this through the context and connotations. Also he had surveyed other people’s thoughts on their videos and views and gave them analytic views to improve their short film sequence they had constructed this on a table which shows clear understanding of where he went wrong and would try to rectify his mistakes and avoid these errors in his final piece. He had clearly shown his understanding in his storyboard for his research then he displayed how many frames he had taken and what shot was used for what effect he associated his location well, script and who was his actors playing the roles he mentioned all his ideas and for all his clips he had feedback to improve next time.

Secondly I analysed Daniels blog it had a more creative innovative look with a creative background and he clearly showing in his videos the representation. Also Daniel shows clear understanding in his planning and research to the interpretation of the film and the different shots used and clearly showing his constructive ideas in his videos.

Thirdly I had analysed Joe reads blog which had concise planning and shooting schedule he does this through assigning cast and crew members. He talks about the different shots used and their meaning to develop and understand what they are used for. he has quite a creative mind map of different genres showing he can understand context and showing the different kind of camera rules.

Finally I had analysed Kim Bates and Tom Allen clearly the weakest blog however did make some good effort they had done this by identifying the different types of camera shots and brief meanings and he had done a carefully constructive research a brief outline of his preliminary and his evaluating skills whether it was successful or not. He also gives a outline of key tips to use when other people want to shoot their videos. overall i thought that the level 4 blog by Sam Clark and Daniel was quite emphatic as it kept the viewers gauged with the idea of how much constructive ideas and effort they had put in it this clearly shows his understanding of what the criteria covers whereas the Joe Reade blog and the Kim Bates and Tom Allen blog is quite brief only covering subsequent information to a limited amount of analytic views not really showing clear understanding of the level of output what was supposed to be in their blogs.
